The Latvian Way

Edgars Zalans, the Acting Minister for Culture and Minister for Regional Governments and Development, has reported that the Riga Concert Hall project has been shelved. The plan was to make a concert hall for the capital of Latvia that would be as good as in other European cities. But the support from the people and from other parts of the government has not taken shape the way they wanted it to. So they said that they feel that it’s not right to continue to spend public money on a project that is (a) not organized yet and (b) not garnering broad support. I guess you wont be able to see your favorite concerts in Riga for the moment.
