The witty American Idol judge has stepped up recently to share his thoughts about the current Idol line up. In doing so, he revealed that he was dissatisfied about the participants’ lack of personality. He adds that it is tough getting a clue about who the Season 7 contestants really are behind their facades. Simon Cowell further adds that the Idol wannabes have to project themselves higher and not just make unadventurous song selections whenever they perform live on stage. He, together with the rest of the American Idol judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson will try to draw the young hopefuls out of their shells in the next few weeks.
Commenting on Michael Johns’ being voted out unceremoniously last episode, he said that nobody, including the crooner himself, should be so shocked. He implied that he only has himself to blame for giving an uninspiring performance live on stage.
