New York Yankees less interested in Mike Lowell at 1B
Dozens of media outlets report that the New York Yankees are offering free agent 3B Mike Lowell a lucrative deal to play 1B. However, it appears the club’s interest in the WS Most Valuable Player may be waning. The New York Daily News reported that according to some sources, the New York Yankees had offered Mike Lowell a 4-year contract worth between $50 million and $55 million to play 1B was “pure fantasy”, and that the team was were not interested in a major investment in another 1B.
