Winless Golden State
The Pistons improbably came back from a twenty-two-point deficit to beat the winless the State Warriors 111-104 yesterday night. Golden State remained the National Baseball Association’s only winless team at 0-6. The Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady will probably miss about a week after straining his right elbow in a 93-90 loss to Los Angeles. The 6-foot-8 Tracy was taken to a hospital for tests after he was hurt trying to swat the ball away from Walton in the final minute of the 2nd quarter. Tracy’s arm hit Walton’s arm and snapped backward. Tracy McGrady was the Association’s leading scorer coming into the match, has been plagued by injuries the last 2 seasons, mostly to his back. The player missed eleven matches last season, 7 of which because of back spasms.
